The Chronicles - Prologue Print E-mail

When I started writing the chronicles in December 1997, I chosed between writing using a common lingo or the roleplayer's way using the Elisabethan language. I tried the latter in an early version, but being a northman with a Viking heritage it just didn't feel like my lingo. I took part in various roleplaying communities, but having the heritage I do always made people accept me the way I was, speaking the English language with a Nordic accent, so to speak. I ended up using the same common lingo in writing as well as I was introducing the first chapters two months after Ultima Online was released.

The UO Chronicles are part storytelling, part documentary with a large number of pictures to go with it. The adventure starts in the first chapters of the Chesapeake Chronicle that was originally introduced on the website Axl Doombringer's Ultima Online in 1997. The Chesapeake Chronicles follows Axl's adventures all the way till the fall of 1998, when he moves to the Europa Shard. The adventures then continues in the Europa Chronicles.

Enjoy!
