A discussion arose at the MMORPG.com forums and has been going on since last Friday. It is a fresh reminder about the copyright court campaign in which Blizzard have now finally reached a judgement against Glider, the amongst WoW players infamous bot program.

Although, a seemingly majority of casual montly-fee-paying players are for this judgement, there are still mixed feelings about this amongst other players. VoM.com will stand neutral in all this, at least in this news article and let you take part of the actual case dockings and decide yourself where you stand. Last court order is from March 10th 2009.

We have been recieving info since Sunday evening, and today the word is out everywhere about NCSoft and the pushing back of the releases of both Guild Wars 2 and Aion. Right now, the word is that the release of Aion is pushed back to Q4 2009. Mike O'Brien of Arenanet posted a letter to the fans at GuildWars.com as of Monday the 16th. Even if there of course is an explanation, these news comes with some sort of devastation for fans that were expecting a Beta of GW 2 to start not that far after the release of Eye of the North.

I was paying a visit to Sosaria this weekend together with Nyte. As always, we stumbled into people here and there and I myself was reminded yet again about what a unique arena of roleplaying Ultima Online really is. I use to ride from Vesper to Cove and visit two player runned towns. (Maybe I should mention that we are on the Europa Shard :P) The settlement outside Vesper was thinned out with those nicely huts and buildings. However, the Cove settlement was sitting there just like over a year ago. I met a couple at one of the inns for a as good chat as it gets between one part speaking English with a Scandinavian accent and the other part fluid Elizabethan. Anyway, today I was browsing through some articles from past month I have missed, and found this interesting one about roleplaying in UO and the (supposingly) upcoming expansion Ultima Online:The Stygian Abyss.

Merely a week before the release date, the Darkfall development team announce a pushback of the release of the game till February 25th. I can't say that anyone of us here at VoM.com were suprised in any way about this, this is how it sometimes is in the world of MMO's. What threw us off a bit may be the somewhat short notice of the announcement and also the information that one of the reasons for the delay was that the game servers hasn't been stress tested yet with live players.
