It is funny, as I was talking to my old friend Inquisitor yesterday. (Inq and I ran one of the first chapters of VoM in Ultima Online). It turns out that he has been doing miniature boardgames for years, and is very actively involved in crafting stuff for that nieche as well. Then I find this newspost about a WoW miniature game coming this fall.
"Following the huge success of the World of Warcraft® Trading Card Game, Upper Deck Entertainment plans to release a World of Warcraft® Miniatures Game, which will be available in hobby and retail outlets in Fall 2008. Now you'll be able to act out your favorite World of Warcraft® moments with highly detailed 3D renderings of all the classes, including iconic characters like Warchief Thrall and fan-favorite Leeroy Jenkins!"

Pulled this off the GW Gameamp site this morning:
"Here's a general warning for everyone to heed. In January, Best Buy pulled their $230 Insignia 10.4-inch photo frames off the shelves, because they came pre-loaded with a virus. Today, (well, yesterday) we learn that the trojan, called Mocmex, is able to block more than 100 types of security and anti-virus software from killing it, and bypasses the Windows firewall to download files from remote locations, spreading them randomly over your hard drive and any portable storage device you plug into your PC -- like, for example, a digital photo frame or USB stick." |

We finally headed north after Nyte decided to level a mage/healer to go with her ranger. Me - I am the same old number. Sword and shield, nothing new there. We also recieved and tried the GW Bonus Mission Pack that was released for purchasing. It has been out, but only for long-term players, and for once in a while we weren't counted amongst those. |

Finally, a statement against the scripter cheaters in Ultima Online. On the Napa Valley shard, GM Draconi burned down a cheaters house with everything in it. For you who don't play Ultima Online, cheating gamers have used script to dupe items to name of many similar problems in the game. Of course this action raised questions about "exploding houses" at the UO Herald's "FoF - Five on Friday".
The post at the UO Stratics of course caused a big laugh in the UO Player Community as they of course dislike scripters and cheaters. Somebody also posted some nice screens of the remains of the house. It kind of reminds me of an event long ago, when I together with Inquisitor sailed two ships from Jhelom to Avatar Isle and burned down a pker's house. Not literarely like GM Draconi, but it was a really funny event.
